Aso Kuju tourism area is a sightseeing area recognized by the Sightseeing Area Promotion Act. Called the "Aso kuju Space for Leisury Time, Walking Winds, Bright Lights, and Fascinating Colors", it extends from Aso of Kumamoto Prefecture, to Takachiho of Miyazaki Prefecture, and the kuju district of Oita Prefecture.
